Designed as a feature within a barn conversion, this staircase creates an immediate impact upon entering the home. Its open-plan form complements the exposed timber structure, striking a balance between being a focal point while still respecting the scale and character of the space.

Materials:

Crafted from Ash, the staircase has been carefully matched to the surrounding timber beams. A clear finish preserves the natural tones of the wood, while the embedded glass within the handrail and base rail enhances light flow and maintains a clean, contemporary feel.

Layout:

Positioned centrally within the open-plan layout, the staircase maximises visibility through to the adjoining living and kitchen areas. The use of glass allows natural light from the large overhead glazing to pass freely through the space, reinforcing the sense of openness and connection between levels.
