Our period front doors are designed to match existing front doors that grace some of the oldest properties across the north west. Doors just as buildings, have changed across the periods in architecture, but with these properties still standing, replacement doors are required in order to keep these homes in full appearance, but also to make the most of existing design.
Edwardian & Victorian front doors feature four or six panels, usually with bolection mouldings or raised and fielded panels, creating a sense of decoration. These doors also tend to be in a wide variety of colours, which is a these from the periods.
1930’s front doors are usually characterised by a high middle rail with two or through long separated panels below. The head of these doors can quite often have an internal curved, with glazing usually featuring either leaded designs or multiple Georgian bars.
Georgian front doors are usually broken up into either 4 or 6 panels specifc spacings depending on the number of panels. These doors usually make use of bolection mouldings to add detail similar to Victorian or Edwardian designs, but quite often have wider mullions and rails making the panels or glazing smaller
