Open Plan Staircase, Embedded Glass

A bespoke staircase is something that is completely original to the customer, allowing for such precise detail as to create something unique. For this the client wanted something with big cross sections large steps leaving only a 100mm gap between the stairs, the newels are a thick 200mm cross section (more than twice the size of regular newels) and the entire staircase has finer details such as walnut strips running sling the treads, up the newels and along the stringer.

The staircase is finished with simple glass balustrade and a square curtail step, sticking out of the side of the staircase, adding another small detail to this overall design.
