Ash Staircase, Curved Steps

The steps make up the most detailed part of this staircases design. They come out to meet you as you are walking up the stairs, with the curved steps the centre bellow’s towards you and creates a unique appearance. This design is highlighted by the bottom step which is the culmination of every step as it reaches past the newel post and bends round into the stringer.

The stairwell is a further extension of this curved design as it bends round the staircase and marries up with the wall. The staircase is finished off with simple fluted stop chamfered spindles which keep it simple as to keep the attention on the steps. The client chose to use a coat of dark polish to finish the staircase, making the oak look aged.
