Ash Staircase – Curved Steps – Chamfered Spindles
Design:
The defining feature of this staircase lies within the steps themselves. As you ascend, the curved treads project outward, with the centre subtly bowing to create a sense of movement and depth. This flowing design is brought together at the bottom with a feature curtail step that extends beyond the newel post and wraps seamlessly into the stringer.
Materials:
Crafted from Ash, the staircase is finished with a darker polish to give the timber a richer, more aged appearance, adding warmth and character to the space.
Layout:
The curve of the staircase is mirrored in the surrounding stairwell, allowing the structure to sit naturally within the space. Simple stop chamfered spindles have been used to complement the design without overpowering it, ensuring the focus remains on the sculpted, rounded steps.
