Carpeted Staircase – Iron Spindles – Oak Handrail
Design:
A clean, contemporary take on a traditional staircase, designed as a repeatable specification for a commercial house builder. The combination of black wrought iron balusters with natural Oak detailing creates a strong contrast against the painted staircase, giving the homes a distinctive finish while remaining suitable for a wide range of interior styles.
Layout:
A traditional closed, carpeted staircase arranged over multiple flights and landings to suit the layout of the property. Matching balustrades continue around the upper landings, creating a consistent design throughout the stairwell. The same specification was developed for use across multiple houses within the development, allowing a consistent appearance from property to property.
Materials:
The staircase is predominantly painted timber with fully carpeted treads and risers. Black wrought iron balusters provide contrast within the balustrade, complemented by natural Oak handrails and matching Oak newel caps. The mixture of painted timber, Oak and metal provides a higher-end finish while remaining practical for a multi-property development.
