Ash Central Spine Staircase – Free Standing Glass

Design:

This home carries a strong modern aesthetic, from the bold furnishings to the textured wall finishes, and required a staircase to match. The brief was to create something that not only complemented the space but elevated it.

Materials:

Crafted from Ash, the staircase features substantial, boxed construction to create the appearance of a single solid structure. The balustrade is formed from 17.5mm free standing glass, delivering a clean and uninterrupted finish.

Layout:

This central spine staircase moves away from traditional design, with no spindles or newel posts. The structure is formed through the centre, with twin supports boxed together to give the impression of one continuous spine. The treads are integrated into the glass, enhancing the floating effect and reinforcing the modern, open-plan feel.
