Ash Staircase – Toughened Glass Strips

Design:

This project focuses on transforming an outdated staircase into a clean, modern feature within the home. By simplifying the overall design and introducing contemporary elements, the staircase now feels fresh, refined and in keeping with today’s interiors.

Materials:

The staircase was upgraded with new Oak newel posts, base rail and handrail, replacing the original components. Vertical glass strips were introduced in place of traditional spindles, creating a lighter and more modern appearance.

Layout:

To complete the transformation, stringer linings were added to conceal the existing structure, providing a seamless and cohesive finish. The result is a staircase that integrates naturally into the space, enhancing both light and overall flow within the hallway.
