We are at our heart joiners, with all of our manufacturing team time served joiners who have spent not just as bench joiners, but also on site doing all aspects of joinery, we understand better than most what is required on site.

Loft Staircases
Some of our longest standing customers, and strongest partnerships, are the ones we make with companies who specialise in loft conversions. This is because we specialise in complicated staircases that require a bespoke design, but with prompt supply as well a variety of off the shelf or specially made components.
We can supply standard loft staircases or we can go into detail, matching to the original ground floor staircase where appropriate, recreating spindles, newels posts, rails etc where appropriate, with a lot of loft staircases being installed in period properties where matching components aren’t available off the shelf.

I cannot recommend this company highly enough! The job I had for them was incredibly difficult. My old staircase was walled-in, narrow, far too steep and did not conform to regulations. In fact, the old staircase was so bad that other companies refused to touch it! I have included a picture of the old stairs below but the picture doesn't show how bad they really were.
However, Edwards & Hampson were only too glad to help. When he found out that I was not mobile, the owner, Peter, kindly picked me up from my other address and drove us to the property in question. Straight away, I could see that he was an expert. He talked me through all my options and explained everything to me. After that, I was put in touch with Arran at the office. He was always patient with me, despite my endless questions. When it came to getting the actual work done, Mike and his crew were excellent.
