Walnut, Embedded Glass

A walnut staircase is one of the most grand statements you can make in your home, with its dark colour and smooth grans it is one of the finest materials a craftsman can work with.

For the staircase the client wanted a walnut staircase, that climbs and looks over the hallway with a grand galleried area. The newels are fluted with stop chamfers on the corners, highlighting the finer details of this staircase. Finally to allow for a more modern feel to the stairs, rather than spindles, glass has ben embedded to the handrail and base rail, adding a more contemporary feel to a traditional material.
